Changelog

v0.2.0

Excel CSV, an opt-in right y axis, time zones, axis options and downsampling for large data

  • Excel CSV: a header row (first column is xAxis.title, or 'Label'), dates as local 'YYYY-MM-DD' ('YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm' when there are times of day), raw numbers; fixed a doubled BOM on download
  • Right y axis: only when a series has axis: 'right' (default behaviour unchanged). y2Axis sets its format, unit (unit, prefix) and title; its ticks line up with the left grid; tooltips and the table use each series' own axis format; the legend marks it (R)
  • timeZone option (an IANA name such as 'Asia/Seoul') for reading and writing dates on axes, tooltips, tables and CSV, so renderToSVG on a UTC server no longer shifts days
  • Axis options: integer (whole-number ticks), step (tick step), reverse (rank axes; the category order for horizontal bars), and '\n' in a category label makes two lines
  • downsample: line and area charts with more than 2,000 points are thinned with LTTB to about the plot width (a number sets the count, false turns it off); tooltips work on the kept points, CSV and the table keep all data
  • New locale strings csvLabel and rightAxis; formatDate takes a time zone argument
